Hair Extensions
Secondary hair has been used to augment natural hair since ancient times. With ever-evolving technology, hair extensions can be used by nearly anyone to add length, fullness, volume, or even add chemical-free vivid colors, highlights, or lowlights! Whether you wear them for a big day like your wedding, or you wear them for life, extensions can give you an opportunity to experience a powerful new look that will unleash your inner goddess.
Methods at Mythic
Hand-Tied Hair Extensions

Hand-tied hair extensions go by many names: beaded wefts, beaded rows, weft extensions, waterfall rows, and many more.

The basis of a hand-tied extension method is that the Artist will use tiny aluminum beads to create a track for wefted extension hair to sit on. The wefted extensions are then sewn to the beaded base. Not all hand-tied methods use hand-tied hair extensions. (You can read more about that here on the blog.)

Mythic Hair is certified in top hand-tied methods Natural Beaded Rows and The Luna Method with more methods coming soon. We believe that it isn't necessarily the method that makes the extension experience, but the knowledge of scalp and hair health that allows the Artist to create without damage.
These methods use wefted hair to create volume and / or length. At MYTHIC, your Artist will fully customize each and every weft of hair to create a dimensional, seamless, and natural-looking color blend.

The hair is then installed using a system of thread and aluminum nickel-free beads to attach the secondary hair to your natural hair. A tiny dot of adhesive is used only on the starting and final knots to make them waterproof.

The hair is then cut to blend into your natural hair. Our Artists believe in using extensions to help you transition in life, therefore, they avoid cutting the natural hair as much as possible.
Keratin Fusion Extensions
Maintenance is required every 6-8 weeks. Maintenance appointments consist of removal of the extensions, a thorough cleansing of the hair and scalp, color for your natural and secondary hair, reinstallation, and style.

As the secondary hair is human hair, it degrades over time and requires replacing. You can expect to replace 3-4 wefts every 3-4 appointments, with proper home care. We prefer to replace hair a bit at a time so you always have some lived-in hair and some new hair, but you are welcome to replace as much hair as you'd like.
